Re: Awesome Craigslist Deal!

3K? Looks more like $500-600 worth of stuff to me. If parted out maybe you could get closer to 700-800, and even that's a stretch.

Reminds me of the time I sold my 8 piece M Birch shell pack a...

Re: Bass Drum Pillows or no pillows

I use one of those Evans pillows barely touching the batter. Emad with big foam ring and Aquarian regulator with port hole. Sound guys love it.

Re: Show us your Mapex kits!

I picked up a second kick for my Saturns a few weeks back. Kind of an impulse buy, saw it on Ebay and couldn't keep myself from bidding on it. I used to own a double bass M Birch a few years back,...

Re: <$200 snare bonanza

I have a BOB and an older brass Sensitone as well. Like those drums a lot. The Supralite is a great drum for the money. I just saw they have an 8x14 Supralite for only $199.

Re: Mmx or saturn!

If the badges are silver and say "Saturn Series", you're good. They would be my choice here.

Re: Mmx or saturn!

Have him send you pictures of the badges and a pic or two of inside the shells. That way we can determine if they are the Maple/Walnut or the older model with the Maple/basswood shells.

Re: Rack tom on snare stand

Lately I've been using a Pearl S-790 snare stand to hold the Saturn 12" tom and it kills the resonance. It has rubber basket tips. So yea.

Its a QR/Q series. Basswood shells. http://usa.mapexdrums.com/news/news_story.asp?ID=103

Re: Advice on IEMs

I have the 215s. Behringer mixer, Tama rhythm watch. Had the 115's before that, I actually liked them better, they were easier to work with because of the shape. I left them at a club after a gig one...
