Re: The Blues!

I think it's just a minor key, latin and fusion influenced jazz song. It's certainly not a clear cut blues because it is a 16 bar song using a modal jazz progression. And while it does have some...

Re: The Blues!

No. No it absolutely is not a blues. At all.

It is not a twelve bar form. It does not use a single blue note, rely on dominant chord blues progressions, have a single blue note in the head, use...

Re: This Software blows every drum machine ever out of the water ...

Woooooooooosh.

You are a musician and you really have no intellectual curiosity about an article that deconstructs music composition in a new way? Well ok.

Now you're just going out...

Re: This Software blows every drum machine ever out of the water ...

And that there is NO originality is a bit of an exaggeration too. There is in arranging those patterns that we've already heard in new, fun ways. Or combining them. But he's right that almost none...

Re: This Software blows every drum machine ever out of the water ...

Erm ... they figured out how to program the collective cultural experience of the listener here ...

My fear has passed now. I just want to get my hands on this program.

Re: Superbowl Halftime - Zak Starkey

That wasn't the Who.

Roger was ... awful. And a lot of Townshend's playing was very sloppy. Zack was the best thing on stage, but not...
