Re: Figuring out sticking on fills

This sounds like the best approach to me.

I know this sounds like I'm avoiding giving you a good direct answer to your question, but here is how I learned to play the drums. I practiced all of...

Re: The Choice to Play the Drumset

Drums kind of appeared in my sphere and I took to them and continue to play to this day.

My dad played the drums as a professional full time drummer. There was a drums set in the front room from...

Re: Could This Be Our Friend Bo?

My point was, the mouse appears to be a good enough drummer to play the drum part on his own. So why are they having the house band drummer upstage the mouse?

Re: Could This Be Our Friend Bo?

Hummm, Good point!
I also don't understand why they have the house band drummer in the back playing along and adding drum fills.
Maybe they won't let a mouse join the musicians union. And so the...

Could this be Bo?
I don't see how someone could play the drums with those gloves on?!?!?

Re: Sitting at the helm of Pro's

Hey now that I think about this, it might be a great way to set up the drum kit.
I'm a right handed player but I could set it up mirror image and it might be a good way to play.
Except I'd keep...

Re: How do I tell my friend that his expensive custom handmade snare is shit?

As soon as you mentioned the word “shipwrecks”, I thought about what would happen to wood that has been under salt water for 200 years. I can easily imagine exactly what that snare drum sounds like....

Re: I'm thinking about staining the inside of my Pearl SSCs... Am I crazy?

When I decorated my Yamaha Stage Custom set the very light colored shell interiors would have stood out too much.
I use clear reso heads. So I stained the inside of the shells. I used very little...

Re: Back to the future!

So what you are saying is; when you find a kit at a good price, the sound of the kit is inversely proportional to the price you paid for it.

Re: THe Conway Slingerlands have been Rescued

Beautiful set Brian. I got the same bass drum pedal with my new Slingerland set. It's a pretty nice pedal!

You had better keep that guard dog in your drum room all the time. I'm coming over to...

Re: THe Conway Slingerlands have been Rescued

I agree it is over priced. He should have put one for sale on eBay using an auction to see what the interest level is.

TK-421:

No you are wrong.

Based on the title of your thread here; if you never see him again, it DID end well.

Re: When you fight the music, your instrument just sounds bad

Right on Pork. I agree 100%.
