I've just heard some people saying die cast hoops deaden the sound, especially on snares. anyboyd think so? cause if not, I think I'll follow larlev's advice.

I'm going to buy Taye Studio Maple kit with 14/7 snare, but I don't know which hoops should I choose - die cast or 2,3mm triple flanged?

I've heard die cast hoops can make snare sounding...

yeah, the perfect one will be probably 16/14 floor tom with cradle instead of legs... but it's impossible, I can get only 16/16 floor or 16/13 rack tom.

yeah, but the difference in price isn't that big, so...

I think I'm going Mapex. and that guy adds new heads for half the price.

I hope I'll be happy. my teacher thinks pro m are great drums.

theses are used, so I won't get the free snare unfortunately :(

anyway, Mapex? the problem is that I don't know ANY place where I can play force 2003, so can't make my opinion about these drums.

Sonor Force 2003 is not birch, it's basswood.

there are NEW 2005 and used 2003 to buy here in Poland. 2005 is a bit more expensive <about 1/6>.

I think You should play the snare You want before You'll buy it. go for a music shop where You can play it and then deicde whether it's "satanic" or it's not. and, of course, decide if it fits You in...
