Hmmm...

*looks at what used to be a "top of the range" pearl BLX that has full length lugs*

I must have "budget" kit then LOL time for an upgrade, where can I get a CB from...

I have the 14" x 6.5" maple one, probably the best snare I have played, I had the 3.5" version before hand, still do kind of but it was really old and the aluminum...

that's fantastic, thank you both very much for your input on this, I feel confident enough to make the right choice now, if I had been in time to catch the pg56 then I would've gone down that route...

yeah, bummer, was offered 6 PG56 mics for 120

just had a look on ebay and can get those CAD mics over here... can get a set of 7 CAD for about 170 (avg. approx 25 per mic)

Are you using them...

Has anybody any experience with the PG56 drum mic?

is the sound quality any good?
do they sound dead, flat, nice and full?

If die cast hoops were detrimental to the sound of the drum/kit, surely the die cast hoops would be on the lower range kits and the triple...

One stand has the 16"tom, 18" china and 20" ride mounted on it, the 17" crash is off the bass drum, and the other stand holds 10" & 12" toms, 16"...

I have an EMAD batter, and an EQ3 resonant, but still needed to put a 12 year old remo muff'l back on the reso side, but no longer have the blanket in the drum, worth a try if you can still get them.
