Sonor Lug Length

I have recently aquired a "custom" kit with black sonor lugs on it (had a previous thread debating on whether to buy it or not but long story short: I ended up getting it for $100). Anyway, I'm not a...

Re: Deal of a lifetime or ripped off for being gullable

Forgot to attach lugs and spurs. These are what the kit has. I just hope I can replace the spurs with something more durable without having to drill new holes. Drilling holes in a drum makes me...

Re: Deal of a lifetime or ripped off for being gullable

Alright. So I went and took a look at the kit. I told him about all the research I did and all the red flags. Told him I would give him $100 if I can prove their keller vss or traditional shells as...

Re: Deal of a lifetime or ripped off for being gullable

Also I looked I n the s class maple catalog and there is not a single 20x20 bass drum. In fact I couldn't find a single 20x20 bass drum in the whole s class series. If they've never had a bass 20" in...

Re: Deal of a lifetime or ripped off for being gullable

My apologies Dre25. I didn't mean to offend anyone. If the kit sounded better than it looks, then I would keep it and pay to customize it to my liking. I just can't stand the stain. But I wouldn't...

Re: Deal of a lifetime or ripped off for being gullable

THAT is exactly what I needed GUNTERSDAD. Kudos on being so observant.
Ok there's obviously way too many red flags with this kit for me to buy it let alone be able to sell it and make a profit. I...

Re: Deal of a lifetime or ripped off for being gullable

I agree. I would much rather prefer an exotic veneer or satin stain over plain black stain. But if I can flip the kit and make a profit I'll be able to afford something nicer. But if it's going to be...

Re: Deal of a lifetime or ripped off for being gullable

Very valid point. The bigger question would be, how does he know that he didn't get ripped off? How was he able to prove that the kit he got was legit?

Re: Deal of a lifetime or ripped off for being gullable

When I asked this guy who built the kit for him, he replied with:

"it was made by a engineer from
Sonor but he didn't give me any tags or badges or anything. They are all Sonor hardware but the...

actually, the lugs are the signature Sonor lugs now that I look at it. That's about it though.

Re: Deal of a lifetime or ripped off for being gullable

There isn't anything on the kit to even signify it's a sonor kit. Here's a pic of the kit.

Deal of a lifetime or ripped off for being gullable

Hey Everyone

I've just encountered a deal, which seems to me too good to be true, but a local drummer is offering me a custom Sonor S Class Maple kit for $600. 3 shell package, 20X20, 12X8, 16X14....

Re: My Heel-up Foot Technique

If the video is of you, I would say first practice with a metronome. The double bass notes that the person in the video is playing are off beat quite a bit. Playing double bass fast, does not always...

[QUOTE=bob1996;1208645]Hello everyone,

Just to start off I am fairly new to drumming, I have been doing it off and on for years, mostly armchair drumming :).

Since you're fairly new to...
