i prefer the Beacon at a "medium" tuning, high is nice but i think it may be better suited for the 5" drums. i have to say the rims shots are bad assed when this is right.........i am in a blues band...

LUDWIG, yeah i KNOW what you mean there. i bought a 5 X 14 COB tubes, P-86, in 2008 BEAUTIFUL drum, it really is, just try to tune it though! what a shame. there have been times i truly love this...
