Not released yet but based on the Blaster I would say 5 piece (no snare) $2500 aprox

I know it sucks the wait for the Velvetone kit, I really like the sound and the ingenuity that came w it and to be limited is not a bad price.

No I wont be keeping the Saturn kit if I go for the...

Same feeling, Im waiting for the Velvetone kit to purchase it w the snare

I own a Saturn kit myself and big fan of BPs

12x7 Maple/Cherry snare
14x6.5 Deep Forest Walnut
14x6.5 Hand Hammered...

Yeah I got the Jimmy and I have a metalworks I got a few months ago is a 13x6.5 not the 12x4 model u pursuing

I just got a hold of one in California I mean $174 bucks shipped for that snare is a steal.
If it doesnt work for me which I doubt I will sell it later on

Im a Saturn owner and I wouldnt say they r mid-range kits I would say they r up there w Professional kits, they r great drums for the money as u pointed out. I will try to answer some questions here...

U should of listen to ur common sense but well as u said if it breaks just get a new one. I never buy warranty on cymbals IMO is all about technique, knowing ur cymbals and what their limits r and it...

hahahha Discontinue Dont think so that Mapex might make some changes to the line could be. Just because u got a nice deal doesnt mean that.

Well my first guess is eBay. Now I bought my kit at medley music (google it), I dont know if they r still in business but I bought my Saturn kit 6 piece fusion ease w a 14x7 instead of the standard...

I can c the frustration. When I bought my Saturns about 1 yr ago I had a similar situation (just 2 examples on my Sienna Burst)

I would suggest the Black panther Walnut snares, really dark earthy sound snares due to the walnut check them out
