Plate needed to cover tom mount on bass drum

Hi Guys,

Can any body help me find or manufacture a plate to cover the hole in my bass drum, as i am doing away with the rack tom mount in favor of a stand, so i can swing the bass drum over to...

Thanks for the advice Brady.
I will be seeing a therapist and when back on the stool am going to pull the bass drum round to the right a bit so i dont crank my leg around the snare drum

Thanks for the details, i am pretty much a beginner and was looking to sort of evaluate my playing by recording myself.( as Tommy Igoe keeps saying.....you are recording...

Oh and i forgot to mention that it would need to be portable as i would only be able to use at a rehearsal room.
I was hoping to use my i pod to play the tracks from.

Hi,
I would like to start recording myself playing along to CD's and play along's like the Tommy Igoe ones
Would i be able to play the tracks through head phones and record my drums all on the zoom...

Thanks for the feedback. The batter head side is ok, its only the reso side and just the 4 that are each side of the snare bed, it maybe something to do with shaping the snare beds?

So I decided to order me a new Ludwig 402 COB snare drum. When I unpacked it i was a bit concerned at how the drum had been put together from the factory, the hoops were touching the shell...

Thanks for your replies.
The snare in question is the Benny Greb one from Sonor, a bit extravagant for my ability but fell in love with it and don't want to do anything that may damage it....
