Re: Anti-Slip Drumsticks?

Re: Good 'music filming' camera?

I plan to buy a camera, and I was hesitating about the Q4 for quite some time, and then I saw this Canon VIXIA Mini X in a shop about a month ago.
I couldn't test it sound wise, but it looks that it...

Re: New Play-Alongs?

Yes I do have the Big Phat Band Play Along Vol 1, and it looks very good, although I haven't started using it. There's a volume 2 out now, also.

Re: Steve Jordan .... yeah ... watch it !

The first I heard him live was in Montreux with the Brecker Brothers and Mike Mainieri in the 70s.

The concert was released as Blue Montreux...

Re: How fast can u Paradiddle

I feel it's great to use computer technology to practice, and it can really help us being better musicians.
Unfortunately this app is a perfect example of a so-called musical application that is a...

Re: New Play-Alongs?

Not many play-along recordings can match Riley's level of quality.

Peter Erskine's releases are musical and interesting.
You can find them in his diverse books but also on iTunes as Peter...

Re: Modern Drummer Cover Story: Who Decides?

Very much interesting, Scott.

I have not welcomed you here yet, and I also appreciate your input, as much as I liked your MD interviews at the time.

The first time I heard about MD was after it...

Re: Syncopated Rolls, Jim Blackley - Help needed

Practice method 3 is doubling the notes that are not accented, so no problem with patterns that have accents, you just double the other notes.

About the tempo, Blackley advocates practicing slowly...

Re: Simple beat??? Not so much!!

Re: Metronome app that speeds up and then slows down

With the Transcribe (http://www.seventhstring.com/xscribe/download.html?a=70) app, you can do the same with audio, and I find it useful.

For Mac, PC, Linux

Re: Jack D Transcription

It feels like Jack is really inspired by Brazilian drumming here, but he's still totally being himself, which is a lot...

I remember seeing this CD...

Re: Help with Black Page #1 (eleven-tuplets)

I received mine when studying at MI/PIT in 1982.
I compared it to other Zappa manuscripts and, as far as I can judge it is Frank Zappa's...

Re: Help with Black Page #1 (eleven-tuplets)
