Re: Sir Ringo Starr...

Ringo couldn't be further removed from his roots. Paul at least gave something back to the city when he set up LIPA.

Great drummer, awful man.

Re: Sir Ringo Starr...

The royal family are parasites, who are loathed by the vast majority of people in Liverpool. Just shows how far removed Paul and Ringo are from their roots. Lennon was no Working Class Hero, but at...

Desert Island Drums

You're stuck on a desert island. You're allowed to have one drum part to listen to while you're there. It can be a solo, a groove, a song, whatever.

Re: Touring Europe... come say hello...

If anyone else is visiting Liverpool, give me a shout and I'll tell you the best places to head to. Drumming wise, Andy's Drum Clinic is the best shop by about a million miles. Top lad as well, is...

Re: Touring Europe... come say hello...

The Jacaranda is a cracking venue, I drink in there regularly. It's been cleaned up a bit now, with a lot of the Beatles memorabilia removed, especially since Alan Williams died.

Re: What do you use to haul your hardware

https://www.hardcase.com/cases/hardware

Had it 20 years, and it's been hauled here, there and everywhere. Still absolutely rock solid.

Re: British Drum Company

I hope the company does well. That still doesn't take away from the fact that Al Murray is a bellend of biblical proportions.

Re: Half Marathon Gig....as heard on TV :)

Same day, same gig, but 30 miles down the East Lancs, playing the Liverpool Rock 'N' Roll Marathon. Third time doing it now, always a good laugh watching people 23 miles into a marathon trying to...

Re: Drummers you admire that play small kits (think 3-piece or less)

No idea why he thought that,...

#RevolverTurns50

How anyone can say anything bad about Ringo's playing after listening to this is beyond me.

Ringo is boss, no arguing, no backchat.

Re: "We're a T shirt company that happens to make music"

Tony Blair plays guitar. Hopefully he won't have much time for that when he's up on trial in the Hague for war crimes.
