Re: Can't Help Falling Ron Tutt

Merlin,
Thank you so much for taking the time to do this, I was really struggling with this fill. Now I can slow it down with my metronome and get comfortable with it.

Can't Help Falling Ron Tutt

Hi,

I do a show every year and kind of do a hybrid intro, can't seem to get the actual fill? Any of you able to break this down? 12/8 feel maybe think of the intro in 4/4?

Thanks

Re: Yamaha Nouveau Lugs - Tuning Tips Needed

I had a kit with those lugs before and I know what you are going through.

What worked pretty good for me was using the Evans drum key. The magnetic one. Instead of finger tightening the screws,...

If you tune your toms to a certain notes, lets say 10"=D, 12"=A, 14"=E
Now replace the 14" tom with a 15" tom what note would you recommend the 15" tom be tuned to? Stay with the E? Or maybe...

Re: Tune Bot - Worthwhile or Not?

I never used mine on snare or bass. I can tune those to my liking pretty quick. Don't want to start screwing with that at my age

Re: Tune Bot - Worthwhile or Not?

Still on the fence with this device? For the suggested 12,16 settings I find the pitch of the 12 is too high, I know I can find a lower pitch that works for me and save the settings. It just seems...

Re: Should I buy this HipGig Kit?

Hi Trick,
Little late for the party but I had the Al Foster hip gig, they are cool kits but to be honest, that bass drum being 23" deep took up too much floor space. Also not the lightest kit in...

Re: Yamaha Stage Custom Birch

I know what you mean about the 6 lugs on the 18" bop kit. I had some concerns, however after putting on a PS3 and Evans pad the drum tuned up pretty easy and a nice punch for a small drum. Less lugs...

Hi Wildbill,

I was able to get some nice $$$ for the hybrid kit. In addition I got a new Live Oak to go with my older oak custom kit. I just really like the live oak, was the hybrid beautiful?...
