Re: The "flat surface test": Help me solve a tuning mystery

I know this probably isn't the response you are looking for, but if the drums sound great and the tuning isn't doing any irreparable damage to any of the hoops or shells, leave it. Or you could tune...

Re: Terry Bozzio drum pic

I count 21 toms there. If you want to remember the pitch of everything and play it as well as he does, go ahead and try. I'm sure by now, he could even do without them. They are probably there for...

Re: Terry Bozzio drum pic

Haha, I love his kit. I'd never dream of trying to do what he does, but he is impressive. Watch the duet of him and Chad Wackerman on the Drummerworld main site. Ridiculously awesome and impressive....

Re: Post your Greatest Weakness

My feet are probably my biggest weakness. I think so at least. I just don't work them enough.

@MaT, for polyrythyms, look for the real simple ones like 3:2. I'm sure you've seen this, but it...

Re: Chris Pennie

A cool teaser for the album if you haven't seen it yet

Re: Chris Pennie

(Even though this is a few months old) I was actually thinking the same thing. Amazing drummer, my current favorite along with Tomas Haake

Re: The Reverend

I'm sorry, but that is actually offensive to read. Ok I'm kidding but you might want to study up a bit before you say anything like that

Re: Murray Spivack technique?

Heh, well I'm definately sure my grip isn't perfect, but I like this technique a lot. As someone said about grip, its a lifelong quest

Re: Best Drum Track Of All Time

Its impossible to really determine a "best", its like picking the "best" drummer

Re: Travis Barker

I'm not totally sure about Travis' sound but cutting more and bigger holes in a drum will just make it less sensitive, i.e. you would have to hit harder to get the same sound from a less drilled...
