If you want to go through ANY good stick exercise it can be applied to the feet
hi hat or bass drum pedal just means different sound sources you'll have to listen MORE

In order to trigger you need to sample a sound or use a brain containing sounds.
Autotune is totally different and was MEANT as a FX not to be overused for commercial so callled music and has...

\When I use edrums or trigger my bass drum i set the trigger on dynamic I dont like the SQUARE sound of dynamics OFF.

Ive seen metal drummers use small bass drums.
I recrded some stuff with Blaccbeard using a 16 bassdrum
20'' bass drums crank high will cut through but NOT offer the warmth or bottom end you can get...

IE...triplets many times sounds faster than 16ths ..triggered triplets with a sharp percussive attack sound crazy fast.
