Re: Little experiment I did

I'm thinking about trying this but with a rotary tool. Less likely to burn myself and should be much faster.

Re: NAMM 2015: Premier 'The Beast' Snare

I've looked all over and can't find any audio or video of The Beast being played. I'd really like to hear it.

Re: It finally happened...the snareless gig

When I pack up my van, I do it the exact same way every time. Because of that, I generally will notice if something is missing. This is especially important at the end of the night. Leaving...

Re: Yamaha Recording Custom RC,RA and GA from the 80's

Yamaha owned Premier Drums from 1987 to 1995. I heard that they had manufactured some Yamaha drums in the Premier factory. You might be looking a one of those right now.

Re: NAMM 2015 - what do you expect to see?

[QUOTE=keep it simple;1321075]Expect this from Premier.

The marketing blurb:

[I]Introducing The BEAST.

OMG! I wanna try that!

Re: It finally happened...the snareless gig

A couple of months ago I left the seat top of my Roc N Soc at home. I live a half hour away from the gig and I had 50 minutes. Luckily my wife was able to meet me half way. I could have sat on a...

Re: Carmine Appice Lobbies For Led Zeppelin Drum Spot

I follow Jason Bonham of Facebook and decided to message him. I don't know if it's actually him getting back to me here or if he has people that respond on his behalf. Check it out.

Re: My Repair of a Wrecked Pearl Masters Snare

I'm always leaving my drums laying around in the driveway, too. Been lucky so far. Very nice work, by the way. The finish looks perfect!

Re: When did Yamaha stop inside-coating the BCA shells ?

I'm almost positive that only the cherry colored BCA's had the interior stain. And maybe the piano black ones as well.

Re: Yamaha Phoenix (PHX) Drums

I thought that NO drums were being made in Japan. Or is that they just are no longer being made at the Sakae shop? If that's the case where in Japan are they being made?

Re: You gotta use the right heads on that tiny bass drum!

I have a Manu Katche Hip Gig with a 16" kick. I put an Evans EC2 on the batter side and it sounds pretty good with just a little bit of tape for muffling.

Re: Whats the weirdest thing you ever broke on your kit during a gig?

One of the beater shafts I broke was from a Yamaha pedal. It had a titanium shaft. I've seen a few broken Yamaha tom mounts as well. I'm a Yamaha guy all the way but it's not indestructible.

Re: Whats the weirdest thing you ever broke on your kit during a gig?

I've snapped two different beater shafts in half. One was during a show and the other wasn't, luckily. I've put my beater through three bass drum heads in the last three years. I was very...

Re: Mixer advice for live playing with click

That is exactly what I use with my in ears and it works perfectly without the need for a headphone amp. It's a great little mixer at a very affordable price.

Re: Yamaha Recording Custom Discontinued

I'm really looking forward to seeing what comes out in the next year or two. I also wonder if there will be some big time clearance deals happening in the not so distant future.

Re: Tell Your Craigslist / Ebay stories!
