Re: Difficult drum parts

I do see where your comming from. But a lot of the times I write parts that I can't play well yet. I can play what I have written slowly, just not up to the speed of the song yet. I should have...

Re: Difficult drum parts

Well, the band is brand new. We just wrote the guitar parts for the songs. That's really all we have at this point. The singer does not have all of his parts written yet and we just found a bass...

Difficult drum parts

Have you ever written a drum part for a song that was so difficult to play that when you were first trying to play it you had to laugh because it was so hard? This is what I have just done! The part...

I was wondering if anyone knows who is the fastest double bass player who plays double bass by running on the pedals from the hips and legs (I have seen this technique called flat foot). I'm curious...

Re: Modern Drummer March 2014 issue - why do they do this?

I very much agree with you!

I feel that is good to push things when one can. This does help keep things fresh and interesting for me.

Re: Ludwig's new Signet 105 drum line!

I really try to hold judgment on something until I can get my hands on it.

To go a little more indepth on my experience with the kit: the toms sounded amazing, same for the snare. The kick sounded...

Re: Thoughts on fill placement

For me its about taking a different approach. The way I think about such things is if no one does anything different in a way that seems odd at first there is no progress that moves things forward...

Re: Ludwig's new Signet 105 drum line!

I just played a set of these the other day at my local g.c. Great set! If these don't fly out the door something is wrong!
