Re: Additional tom lead times

Thanks for the replies chaps.

I was just curious to see if it was the same story on the other side of the pond, which judging from your replies, seems that it is.

Re: Does woking out helps drumming?

There's no doubt gym work is going to benefit your health, whether it be strength or cardio, but I don't think as others have said, there is any better workout for drumming than drumming!

Re: Musikmesse 2012 - Premier Nicko McBrain Kit (pics)

For laughs I just asked my local drum shop to find out how much the new Nicko replica kits are.

They're all maple, laquered inside, custom wrap outside, 2.5mm hoops, diamond chrome hoops and lugs....

Re: Musikmesse 2012 - Premier Nicko McBrain Kit (pics)

The first time I saw the 7th tour was at Donington '88 and the production extended out and over the two videos screens either side of the stage. The band didn't use it because it was just lights and...

Re: Musikmesse 2012 - Premier Nicko McBrain Kit (pics)

If I remember rightly the 20" ride was a bright ride.

At the time I loved those color sound cymbals but they seem so dated now. On the 7th Son tour the two china's mentioned were a very pale blue...

For 300 and just starting out you can't go wrong.

Re: songs that use all ride cymbal to keep beat

As someone said earlier, McBrain uses a lot of ride in his style.

Check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J0R7eDAKayo , awesome bass work too.

Re: Nicko McBrain - Two Minutes To Midnight

And also a 15 x 15 and a 16 x 16 mounted tom.

Great fan of Nicko, he may seem to have an excessive set up but he does make full use of his kit, it's defo not just for show.

The sound quality...

Re: Nicko McBrain

They were selling them at the show, I got meself one. They were also selling Spirit of Maiden snares that you could get autographed by Nicko after the show but I wasn't quite ready to shell out (no...

Re: Nicko McBrain

25 years ago when I first saw Maiden at Hammersmith Odeon (as it was then) Nicko inspired me to take up drumming. I got a Pearl Export kit and off I went. But, alas, along came the wife and kids and...

UK lead times.

Ah, I see where you're coming from.

I kinda assumed that because it was not a custom kit or reference kit and because the toms are not exactly price prohibitive, that there would be a stock in a...
