Yes, I have one and it's so awesome. It's the best wooden snare I've ever heard, love those chopper hoops as well. The shell is Vintage Maple. I'd recommend it, but they're very expensive.

Not all Birch kits are the same. It depends on the company and the cut of the shell etc., My Sonor SQ 2 Birch drums are solid in consistancy and quality. I have NO worries about it warping.
