I love Japanese drummer Takeo Moriyama - the second drummer in this video. He was the drummer for Yosuke Yamashita Trio from 1969 to 1975.

Here's an older clip of Senri...her play when she was 12 y/o (the age when she started to cover K-ON! stuff), playing with a Japanese fusion band Fragile. Her teacher Kozo Suganuma is playing...

R.I.P. Munetaka Higuchi

Munetaka Higuchi, the drummer of Japanese heavy metal band Loudness, passed away in the morning of Nov 30 because of liver cancer. He was 49 years old.

I got this video last year on P2P and I was stunned by his awesome technique. Also I was very impressed by his words...full of wisdom and humor. I would say all serious drummers should hear it.
