I also agree that you shouldn't set your mind on certain drum brand. try some out at a store and decide. I think you will find smaller brand to be surprisingly good.

I would definitely take the Renown over concept. Renown is made in Taiwan and with better craftsmanship while concept is made in China at the same factory that makes basix and drumcraft. If not...

it's two different level. Quality wise, gretsch is more in line with pearl, ludwig and tama while crush is more compared to cheap budget kits.

Definitely Gretsch New Classic.... you should also consider Renown. Not so much on hardware, but New classic beats Saturn on sound and paint quality for sure. In all, both are nice drum.

can't help you on the price, but I think you could probably go with gilbratar on everything except the lug and throw off. should save you some bucks and at much more reasonable price.
