Re: My drum kit (newby) and future plans

Found a few videos of that drum kit on youtube, and I must say I really like the sound of it! Very compact and punchy! I might consider buying it, but I want to be able to play a bit of metal music,...

Re: My drum kit (newby) and future plans

Just looked on the page, I think I will pass on buying from them, I bought a SH 16" Medium Crash from gak.co.uk for just over 40, it's 69 for the same cymbal on there, and the price difference can...

Re: My drum kit (newby) and future plans

I'm going to buy a new drum kit first and then maybe upgrade the snare on it if I need to, but there is no point in buying a new one at the moment since I will be selling my current drum kit to get...

Re: My drum kit (newby) and future plans

I like most of the DH cymbals, but the only Hi-Hats I like out of the DH line are the Bite 13" ones. I don't own any myself, but I like to watch SessionDrummerJames on youtube to see which of their...

Re: My drum kit (newby) and future plans

Yeah, the kit I've chosen to go for is the Gretsch Catalina Club Studio, since it has a bigger bass drum than the fusion one, and it's also about 40 cheaper for some reason! I am going to buy some...

Re: My drum kit (newby) and future plans

Ah well that is a relief, I don't want to have to pay out lots of money if it's just going to break after a few years :)

On my list of things to buy, I have the cymbals (Hi-Hat, Ride, 3 new...

Re: My drum kit (newby) and future plans

Oh right, I'm not too technical when it comes to drums, so I just know that smaller snares make a higher pitched sound, I don't know too much about the materials!

Re: My drum kit (newby) and future plans

I understand that the cymbals I bought are only brass, but I've actually tried a Paiste PST5 crash round a friends, since he has about 20 Paiste cymbals, and I still didn't like the sound of the...

Re: My drum kit (newby) and future plans

I have watched a few videos on Dream Bliss cymbals, and I have to say I was quite impressed from the sound of them. I'm not sure whether or not to get some, because they are still a little bit more...

Re: My drum kit (newby) and future plans

Hey thanks for the replies, I have made a list of some stuff that I want to get in future and have listed them in the order that I think are most important, starting with some proper b20 cymbals ...
