I cleaned the chrome of the vintage (47 years old) kit with cola and tin foil. Worked very good.

They had 4 runs of the Manu, so it depends on which model. The two latest didn't had a seamless shell like this one does if i'm not mistaken.

Thats a original Yamaha 14x4,5 Maple Custom snare. Its hand rubbed oil which gets better looks every year.

Me personally would say, keep the Pinstripes, they have plenty of tone.

My Oak Custom has a Pinstripe on the 12'' which has a die cast hoop too. It still sings...

you thought the RC was heavy, try the Oak, it outweighted my Rc's kicks in the past by far, and the new Live Oak is said to be even more heavier then its predeccesor.
