LOL... Most of the guys on Sonormuseum don't buy that implication.

I met one of the Sonor factory workers recently and HE ALSO does not buy that info and never saw any evidence of it.

He chooses a German S-Classix thin birch kit.

Ditto that ! I heard those through little speakers and they made an impression even so.

They sound better than most of the kits they film IMO.

Those NC's ....Kaman/Gretsch really took the time to fine tune those shells to diameter. I thought that was pretty darn cool. Solid brass lugs too !

Well the Starclassics line has always had the home base in the Japan factory....... then they started the second factory in China not only for the other lines but also the China Starclassics. ...

Which Tama pro line is not quality stuff ??

Keep in mind...... they've been doing the top stuff WITH THEIR OWN PARTS for much longer than probably most companies ever have.

I would not get the Prolite.

Get the ones you want............ BUT.. the way to do it is get one of the Inifinite series kits from Sonor. They have the thicknesses you want...

I had two of those RC's and they never seemed lightweight.
