I used to live pretty close to this guys old shop back in the 80s and 90s. He makes some bomb proof drums and they sound amazing. I think the Chicago Symphony uses his drums.

I count this a little differently

3 = 1 and 1/2, 1 and 1/2 or if at faster speeds 1 1/2, 1 1/2
4 = 1 2 only counting the lead hand
5 = 1 2 1/2 or count all 5 at slower tempos 1 and 2 and 1/2...

It is actually a buyer's market. I wouldn't sell them if I were you. you will regret it. If you own them out right without any credit debt, it is not costing you anything to keep them.

Keep in mind Brady drums could be expensive because they make their own shells and use a process that does not introduce heat and water. Very different than most folks who make their own shells....
