Re: How do you warm up your foot without a bass drum pedal?

Bring a second pedal with you and sit in a chair and play against a wall or something.

Re: Hi-hat Stand and Snare Stand Inquiry

Obviously not the biggest band but still very popular.

"The Monkees bassist and singer Peter Tork died Thursday, according to his sister and bandmates. He was 77."

ďIt is with beyond-heavy...

Re: Bearing edge wax - Doc Marten Wonder Balsam

Ditto to the table saw, band saw, router table and all fences. Would do well on bearing edges.

Re: My Slingerland snare tension strainer knob fell off, I need a particular screw to reattach. Help

I'm guessing a set screw was in there. Take the knob to your local Ace hardware or similar and look for a matching screw. Try the hex head allen wrench type

There are 6 artists on the zildjian site that are ZBT users and Mike Mangini is one of them. They have there place.

I watched a video this morning of a Gretsch artist , Twitter I think, not there now, he had one on the left and right side of his kit.

Re: Question about sympathetic snare buzz

Since you are experimenting, two things. The snare batter head moving causes the snare side head to move and the wires as well. Tighten the batter head a little and see what helps. Second, I have...

Re: hi hat sizzle

In the second picture of Lars, I'm guessing his left foot is on his slave bass drum pedal, so this would be the natural postion for his open hats. The first picture I'm guessing the photog caught...

Re: Help a Dad out buying used set for son.

The only thing to worry about slightly are the bearing edges. The part of the shell that touches the heads. The heads shown look like the original Pearl heads, so I doubt if the heads have ever...

Re: A little help from my fellow drummers...

A few issues. Two questions ask in what ways, way(s)......but only allows one answer, and one where terms are to be rated 1 -11, are already in order and numbers can't be changed.

Re: Buying/Tuning a Concert Snare Drum

Musicians Friend has a bunch of concert snares. You may not be able to have them shipped to England but it makes a nice catalog for viewing.

Re: Yamaha finish touch up (what top coat/products to use to fix minor damage)

I would use some wipe on interior poly and feather it out in very thin coats. I can't tell b ut it looks to be a satin finish.

Re: Help a Dad out buying used set for son.

I think the Pearl is about right with negotiation, but indeed much better than the SPL, and still some room to gauge interest still at 11. More drums, more versatile. Say hello to my home town of...

Re: Homemade cymbal mount when cruising the pawn shops...

That is a fine piece. I have always used a second stick, tip through the hole, and one to smack with. I'm sure the felt keeps it from muting.
