Hey man, thank you so much for these, they are fantastic. Most people don't have the patience for this stuff, so thank you so much. You've given me tons to do.

Re: "Secret weapons for the modern drummer"

I've only gotten through the first disc and stopped because I want to digest what has been said already, but his approach is amazingly systematic and scientific. Everything is made very clear, from...

Re: Exercise sharing

These are some very basic coordination things that most people probably know, but hey.

When sitting down at my kit, I like to start by going through rudiments and Stick Control patterns over a...

Re: The Black Panther thread! For all BP snare fans and owners....

Hahaha, just joined this club today. Got the maple with 24-carot gold plating...I'll post pics when I can, but man does it sound good! Haven't got the tuning quite down, still gotta play with it, but...

Re: What is the most important thing about drumming?

1) Having fun. If you're not having fun, you're doing it wrong. You gotta groove.
2) Timing. You simply can't be a good drummer without a great sense of time.
3) Originality. Don't sit down every...

Re: How do I continue?

Yea, I have a problem with not being focused when I practice, so take nutha's words to heart and spend your time wisely. Try to always play with CDs unless you're working technical ability. That...

Re: Indepedence Exercises

That Drori exercise is ridiculously useful and awesome. I spent about a half an hour trying to get singles leading right going all three ways, and I've kinda got...I need to work it more, but man,...

Re: Blisters...bad technique?

Hmm. I've only been playing for a pretty short amount of time. I have a callous in the same place as described on both hands. They used to become worse every day, but now as my playing has gotten...

Re: Bass drum buzz

It's not that the beater just magically hits multiple times on one stroke. I play one stroke, one solid hit, and because after that hit I keep my foot held down on the pedal, the beater comes back to...

Bass drum buzz

I don't know when I picked up this habit, but it's quite annoying. This really only occurs at soft dynamic levels, because when it's louder, I can't really hear it, or it dissapears. It's negligable....

Re: Gavin Harrison here!

Yea, everything he said I second. The line was huge, even getting there and hour and a half early. But it was completely worth it. The whole band sounded fabulous, and the new stuff was awesome. I...

Re: Tommy Igoe

His Groove Essentials is quite good and enjoy his playing, but every picture I see of him makes him look like a huge tool. I'm sure it's not the case, but everyone I've shown the pictures to agree....

Re: Gavin Harrison here!

I'm sure it was your intent exactly, but that Plasson video pretty much made me want to buy your DVD like now. Awesome stuff.

Re: Post your Greatest Weakness

-Consistant practice habits
-Confidence (it shows a bit when a bass hit or snare hit ocmes in a little late. this will hopefully come with more experience)
-Rudiments/marching...

Re: Vinnie Colauita

Well, yea, Vinnie's chops are ridiculously fun to watch, but still, I've never seen him truly groove at all in a solo. Everyone does their solos diffierently, but a nonstop barrage of chops gives me...

Re: Vinnie Colauita

Vinnie is indeed an awesome drum, but the solos I've seen him do are too over-the-top for my taste. I'd prefer a nice groove-oriented solo from Keith Carlock rather than Vinnie's ridiculous chops...
