One of the exercises in my almost daily ritual is: Play 16th note pradiddles with hands, over the feet playing exercises 1-13, pg 5, in Stick Control. Feet are playing 8th notes as written.

Ed was my favorite teacher at Berklee, He showed me most of the stuff in the Brazilian Book. As it was then, pre-publication, 83-86. .........I also really liked Jun Saito....

This is one of those things I did everyday. Album after album. It taught me 8-12 tunes at a time because you had to play the whole side of the "Vinyl Disc" or keep getting up to walk across the room...
