Re: Paiste 2002, B8 but why do they sound so good?

I think this is the most defining answer to this 1,234 day old question! It was past due for the obligatory "YOU DO REALIZE THIS THREAD IS 3 1/2 YEARS OLD?!?!?!" (I too, like old threads about...

Re: Yamaha 9000 versus Maple Absolute.

I love my 2010 RC's with Remo pinstripe batters, and play in a very live, tiled, uncarpeted, high ceilinged, unmiked environment ...they sound great! My other kit is a late seventies maple 6 ply...

Re: Inside of bass drum hoops - not painted anymore on a lot of kits- WHY?

Just what I was thinking... It's visually congruent with what you'd imagine the interior shell to be if used with an opaque head or what you'd actually see if it actually matched the shell interior...

Re: Handclaps in recordings - yay or nay?

There are so many very tastefully done handclap recordings ...Motown, early Beatles and Stones. Upon reading this, the millesecond instant recall in my brain was "Rock The Nation" by the late Ronnie...

I agree, the inch is unimportant. I went 13x9, 14x10, 16x16 and 18x16 on my first Ludwig kit; 12x8, 13x9 and 16x16 on a later model Ludwig kit; and 8x8, 10x9, 12x10, 13x11, 14x12 and 16x14 on my...
