Re: Mapex pro m 24 STOMP DRUM KIT
I checked one out yesterday at the drum center. Same mapex quality as always with a big bass drum and setup. I dig it. They had one in a orange laquer. It looked very nice and only 850 bucks.

Re: Die Cast hoops on the WHOLE kit!?
I had all diecast on my tama superstar kit. It didnt make a huge difference. I will always get diecast on the snare though just because I do alot of rim shots and heavy hitting.

Re: Getting a (total) custom kit....?
for a quality custom kit you may need about 500 to 600 more us dollars at least. I dont' know of many custom companies that can build a kit for a thousand besides conaway customs.

Re: Big, Fat Peavy Drum Kits?
The red kit doesn't look that bad. I played a show with a guy that had a natural one, it sounded pretty decent.
Also I saw that exact purple kit at guitar center in cincy the other day for 499.
