How do you know how much your gear is worth?

So i posted a bit about this in the wanted/for sale section but I didnt know if it was the appropriate place after the fact...worried that nobody would notice it i decided to put a little something...

i got his dvd for my birthday and its definately worth checking out. He really does a great job explaining everything he's doing...he also goes in depth on things that normally people wouldnt put on...

so i got a zero ring on my 16'' floor tom and i was wondering if i should adjust the lugs with or without the ring on...does it make a difference? its at a good place and i dont want to f it up for...

absolutely 14'' and i dont know how i got it...lol. i ordered the shell pack from a place on ebay...it said it was a discontinued kit so i guess in hindsight, that meant the kit with the 14'' rack...

could you do me a favor and drop a 14'' tone ring on your 13'' tom and see if it fits because i just re-checked tonight and it fits EXACTLY like it does on my 14'' snare. lol...i'm boggling my own...
