Re: Why I don't play V-Drums

I'm not sure (as I haven't read everyone's posts) but it looks as if he's wearing headphones in the video. If so, the mix may sound fine to him and he may not think he's hitting too hard. I know from...

Re: Recommended books - where to start (after some hiatus)?

Recommend 1001 Drum Grooves. My Teacher got me into that book a year and half ago. I still go back to it to work on latin stuff. It literally has every drum style in it. Double Bass to Latin to...

Re: Overhead Micing (Mono)

Thanks, I look forward to experimenting with different mic set ups, I think I will go with the nt5's because people keep saying they're great for the money.

Re: Just wanted to share this with my fellow drummers

I honestly don't know why people are hating on you or this wonderful music. I think it's really cool and I've already shared it with a few friends (we're all prog junkies btw). I really like the feel...

Re: Double Bass pedals

9000's gold plated. lolz..
I seriously recommend a good DW pedal, like 3000's or 5000's. Get the DW Hardcore Beaters for them, so much faster with those on.

Re: 30 Richest Drummers.

Re: Busy or steady drummer?

I play for the song, but all of my friends and bands I play in are very progressive and mostly instrumental, requiring me to play busy. But I can still just hold the groove for the band.

Re: Speeeeed!!

I totally agree. It's more important to play in clean for a minute than to be able to go all out for 5 seconds. Being able to play it clean and precisely is more important overall.
