I'm using coated emperors on top and coated ambassadors on bottom.

Thanks for the info.

Have you ever used the Evans EC2 as opposed to the Remo Pinstripe? Is there a difference in how they effect the tone?

I would use a pintripe or Ec2 but I was concerned about it effecting the sound of a drum that already sounds great. Do you think its a good idea anyway?

@Harry I'm using coated ambassador on the batter and clear ambassadors on the reso. Did just put a coated ambassador on the bottom.
