Using a click live? WTF. If you have to sync to backing tracks fair enough but for anything else its total overkill. Its the whole bands job to keep time. Perfect time is not the be all and end...

Yep, thats me, also. Why follow the crowd and try to emulate when you can plow your own furrow and have others saying "Thats great, why didnt I think of playing that, there".

You can bet your life that if something is popular the suits will jump on it very quickly. Look at Punk back in the 70s. A youth counter culture in the beginning but the suits noticed its popularity...

I thought you meant "Your" drum setup, as in your own kit. Ha, plenty.

With others kits its the huge step down to the floor tom on kits with a BD mounted tom, on anything bigger than a 20" BD.

With headphones positional audio is great, as an effect, but on even top quality stereo speakers, if you are not sitting still in the centre of the stereo signal, its pretty much a waste of time....

Also, beware of what you hear on a recording of a drummer you like the sound of. Recorded drums, in most but not all instances, are heavily processed so just cos you like a drummer and there kit dont...
