I started in 83 on a 5 piece kit that I turned into a double kick kit with 4 racks, 2 floors, snare, 8 octabons, and 3 roto toms (yes I admitted to owning rotos.) and a ton...

Pro Kit? I made most of my drumming money using a piece of crap Pearl Export "Maxwin" kit that had particle board shells!!!!

It is how they hold up, how you tune and mic them, and how you play...

Global purchasing principles aside, DW are very good drums, hardware, and pedals. Are they "worth" the cost for that value? That question goes to means, desire, and taste.
