Re: What's your take on electronic drum sets?

I don't really agree with the practice pad/sticks idea either. If all i got was a pad and sticks back when i was 11 or 12 i wouldn't have lasted a month. (To each their own, though.) My mom got me a...

Re: What's your take on electronic drum sets?

In my opinion an electronic kit is fine for beginners....and people in apartments where noise is an issue. (The OP falls into both these categories.)
People talk about the nuances and dynamics,...

Re: Tips for easy loading - my car my way

I've got skb hard cases and they're worth their weight in gold! My 5 piece fits in the hatch area of my bmw 318ti with an skb hard cymbal vault also. All hardware goes in a soft Roadrunner case in...

Re: Band PA ownership options - thoughts, experiences

Our band has a couple of different pa options. One is a full band pa, and one is a Bose pa for small, acoustic shows. I think the singer owns both. We just use whatever we need for the show. There is...

Re: Cover Band Drummists - How accurate are you?

We do some covers that i straight up don't like, so for those i just make up my own part so i don't have to sit around and listen to crappy songs i don't like to learn the drum part.
Oddly...

Re: Going on Tour would like some advice!

Lol....sleeping at a Motel 6 is hardly traveling like U2. Get rooms included in your contract....or at least a buyout if you feel like roughing it instead.

Re: Worst idea in Drumming

Ha...i'm glad this thread got resurrected. Fun stuff in here!

Re: Possible trade?

Those are sweet drums. You can always put an ad in the barter section on craigslist...but be prepared to get some ridiculously stupid offers, lol

Re: Possible trade?

Just because you have X amount of drums doesn't mean you have to bring all of them when you gig. Unless you're looking for a different sound/color/whatever, then why bother? I think you'll get...

Re: Poll: do you double bass?

I really like double bass, and i use it where it's called for. I never spent as much time as i should practicing it, so i never really developed the foot speed i would have liked.
