i think a lot of what Raymond Bloom said was good info except for when he said that to play gospel you have to have some funk background. its actually the other way around. funk, blues, r&b,...

I love the drumming. You have a very gospel-influenced style of drumming (at least in the clips I've seen on here). Did you ever play in a church or is it just a style that you love to play?

that's a really good question. i had wondered about that for a long, long time because i kept seeing that it was something the pro's did. but, whenever i tried it, it would make my hi-hats sound bad....

i agree that Bonham had a pretty good right foot. his foot "speed" became popluar and was impressive only to the rock "crowd" at the time. but, bass foot speed had been around for a while and there...

hmm...i've practiced on both a practice pad and on my pillow/mattress. i feel that practicing on the pillow and mattress actually helped me improve speed. another really good reason to practice on...
