Re: wanting to play traditional grip :D

Did you know that Traditional Grip was used in the marching bands of the Civil War because they did not have the technoology to be able to keep the snare drum flat. It was very uncomfortable for them...

Re: Double Bass tuning Help please!

What if I put duct tape on the bottom of the cymbal? I'm not worried about having to clean off anything from the cymbals because I don't mind doing that at all. But will it work on the bottom instead...

You can look at some of the summer courses to. I know there's one that basically is like going to the school. Afterwords if you decide to become a student your credits for first semester is complete.

Hey, guys do any of you have any tips on double bass tuning. I took out all the muffling and tuned them to a very, very close pitch. But, when I added the muffling (just a pillow) to each bass drum,...

Re: Rockband Drums: good practice?

Awesome comparison. A lot of people get mad at me for saying that rockband isn't anything like real drums. I personally hate the game.

Re: dead time on stage?

I do agree with you on that. It would get very repetitious. Another idea you could do is ask the audience questions. For example, I was at a Metallica concert in Newark New Jersey and after the song...

Re: Post your Greatest Weakness

Which ever is more comfortable for you. If traditional grip makes you feel sore try rock grip and if you're unsuccessful with that then try other grips or try and get use to traditional. I like the...

Re: Post your Greatest Weakness

I talked to a lot of people for tuning two bass drums to the same pitch and I did a lot of research and found out it's impossible. No, two bass drums have the same exact pitch. They can get really...

Re: Lars Ulrich

I would've agreed with you on that about a month ago. But, if you watch his left foot he plays most of the double bass stuff with his left foot and just uses hes right for accents. The best approach,...

Re: Is solo drumming music?

Well, we could go on forever but I mean there is music everywhere whether it's me typing this on the keyboard or the blinker in your car. I think of everything as music. Drums are instruments and...

Re: Joey Jordison

I think Joey is a good drummer. I don't think he's the best or even close to being to best (in my opinion) but, I wouldn't say he's a bad drummer.
