i use both on bass and hats. lately i worked on doing the switch between both more consciously and making sure that i dont use heel down on one and heel up on the other in order to get better posture...

i do free improvisation with a pianist.

we sometimes overplay if we want to make sure that there's not the tiniest space uncovered with sound and sometimes we both dont play at all.

i play it in quintuplets with the accents on the quarters.

after using those pro mark 7As (which are short i think) for about 2 years, i switched to longer agner-ones. all i can say the length does affect your playing but if you practice just with one sort...
