Re: How to get more tone out of your snare?

Justin uses a custom Craviotto 614 Maple Snare Drum. Hard to duplicate that type of quality. Are you using a wood drum? 6 or deeper? If so a coated head top and medium to tight tuned should get you...

Re: How to clean paint off drum wrap?

I would use graffiti remover towels. They are available at some hardware stores or janitorial supply shops. If you just need a few for the project send me a pm with addy and I will hook you up.

Sleep with metronome on change the tempo each night. Then practice to the BPM next day and repeat. The tempos will lock in much quicker this way. Now work on relaxing while playing and the spastic...

Re: Next size up from a 5B stick?

Try a Vater Fatback 3A they are a nice step up from 5b. The rim shots are part of great snare technique, don't let people influence you too much.

Re: Need Cymbal Advice!

I am a former Paiste endorser and would tell you to avoid the Rude series if breakage is a concern. I do not know the present composition but in the late 80's they broke very frequently. The Z3...
