Re: What's your latest purchase?

A bag for my 18" acrylic bass drum. Just gonna use my hardcases for the rest.

Bonus shot of the kit on its maiden gig.

Re: New kit coming

Okay I took the kit out on Friday night. It's a great little kit. The volume wasn't an issue and the guys in the band said they loved the look of it.

The only drawback is now I've got a kit that...

Re: Before I just jump in & do this ------

It would be nice if we could displace the snare in the 2nd part.

Re: Where's Magenta?

Sorry to hear you're suffering Madge.

I'm a bit of a loner myself. There's no hiding from people and there's no hiding what you are, but it's great to find something you're good at and just go for...

Re: Thinking of replacing my sonor signatures

If you can afford it + have space you could buy a different kit and see if you still want to keep the sonors.

Re: The Bo Eder Pearl Vision Signature kit ;)

I'm sure you like it, I liked my stage customs but at the end of the day it's a cheap kit. I played one of these next to a reference and it sounded dog poo by comparison.

Re: Unanswered Threads

There are allegiances and grudges at play, or sometimes people are just not in the mood to answer the same old questions (or variations of them).

I remember dreaming up a "science of practice"...

Re: New Score off eBay

These kits are awesome. I got to play one in LA, I liked the pinstripes on it, really low and thuddy sounding but in a good way.

Re: Ludwig Classic Maple or Vistalite?

I just bought a crush acrylic kit and I am super impressed with the tone and depth of these drums, but they are a bit of a novelty, wooden drums are subtle by comparison. I have my first gig with...

Re: Too many choices.

I've got saturns, no regrets.

They're warmer than the birch bubinga, which would probably be my other choice of the drums listed.

Re: Too many choices.

I think the Brooklyn is marketed as a jazzy kinda kit?

Other than that they'll all do the job for someone that just wants to know they're buying quality. I think you just need to stare at them all...

What's the kit for?

What music are you playing with it?

What's your favourite colour?

Re: 24" bass drum - 10" main snare, surely not?

I think it's ridiculous but I can't help but marvel at how nice those toms sound.

Re: First "new" equipment purchase in years!!

I would probably own one of these by now but someone on here said they sound very similar to chad smith's pearl snare (which I own). Is that true?

Re: Getting Stamina & Balance Back

Not sure how long you've been at it but judging by your routine - practice is an arduous task and you're probably playing mind games with yourself to avoid it.

I worked very hard for about 6...

Re: What's your latest purchase?

I sold my stage custom on a whim... just got bored with it. Then bought a birch model on a whim and flipped it when I received my Crush bop kit.

Only really need another crash so that I have a...
