Re: Ludwig Piccolo Snare - Need A Manufacture Date

Interstate music still has one their site similar to his pictures. So you're saying Ludwig used the black and white badges in 2012?

Re: IMPERIAL CYMBALS RIPPED US OFF!!!

Holy crap, I just discovered the owner of this company and an acquaintance/FB friend of mine are close buds. After trolling his page I'm sure all of you will be happy to know that Jeff and his wife...

Re: Ludwig Piccolo Snare - Need A Manufacture Date

Re: Ludwig Piccolo Snare - Need A Manufacture Date

The badge dates it after 1984. Your drum appears to be early 90's Classic Series LC-555 snare. From looking at the catalogs they made it from at least 91-94. ...

Re: Help - how it is played

Yes, he was asking about the beginning of the song. The trumpet clearly sounds like a....trumpet, I don't hear how that would be mistaken for anything else.

Re: Is this suspicious?

He's selling the actual lesson .pdf files, nothing malicious in the email or attachments. Just a guy selling lessons through CL and unsolicited email, nothing to see here please move along hehe

Re: Is this suspicious?

Benefit of the doubt, good thinking. I'm sure it's nothing, not like I could actually do that.

Re: Ain't no more fun...

That's a good decision to play and continue to support the team.

He's been placed in that position and has the authority, but he's going about it the wrong way, especially because it's a...

Re: Is this suspicious?

Re: Is this suspicious?

This isn't spam exactly...you were possibly targeted because you post your email to 'everyone' in your DW profile and possibly in other forums...or you've had contact with this person before. Either...

Re: Is this suspicious?

Did you write back asking who they were? It's not entirely suspicious if there wasn't an attachment or link in the email and they didn't name a price.

I assume they mean Mike Johnston.

Re: Help - how it is played

Re: The condition of my drums

I would also recommend not having a humidifier right beside your drums, but in the same room shouldn't be an issue. They;re a necessity for comfortable living and breathing so keep it around 40% and...

Re: Ain't no more fun...

I'm curious, did you try to resolve this with the leadership and did you try to talking to the new guy about it tactfully? I'm just wondering how he would respond to something like "I do appreciate...

Re: How not to drop sticks

I'm thinking gloves would make more sweat. I occasionally use stick wrap for a little extra grip, either Pro Mark or Vic Firth.

I've used the dipped sticks before but they were way to grippy and...

Re: Pretty sure my brain is screwing me up...

1) Totally separate beast. You're working with a different angle and mechanical pedal...it's more work with different technique.

2) If you work with a metronome you're doing it right. Low and...

Re: A Question To Those That Collect A Number Of Drum Kits

When I had a larger place I could set a few up but now most of them are stored away in a unit, some for years.

I try to get as many makes, materials, colors, and eras in the collection.

Re: Need Help Identifying Rogers Vintage Set

I see J.P. has been here. Turn off the lights and close the thread.

If you can, post some pictures of the floor tom interior and bearing edges. I'm curious because the lugs look Slingerland-ish...
