Been using a small kit for nearly 20 yrs..in the 80's , it was all about power toms,racks,& a ton of cymbals..Today, my kit is stripped down (like most) ..1 rack up front..2 floor..3 crash 1 ride.....

I agree with Larry. Good Post ! I have a D-112 Kick Mic..thats all i carry with me ..our sound guy takes care of other mics..had a pair of outdoor gigs last week ..300-400 in attendance..shared...

Self taught since the age of 16 (1980) . Never been over the top . Always try to serve the song . Not a bore to watch but able to kick it up a notch when required . So many influences come to mind...

Its good to hit up a practice pad for 5-10 minutes (or until you get bored) lol..I think of music that I've been listening to recently..figure out the parts on the pad..a few arm stretches are...

I've always looked at Physical Grafitti & Presence as influence . All Zep albums were amazing :) I just became more locked into those 2 albums as a teen .

I usually shoot for an hour. That includes arriving at the club..knowing exactly where to load in ...meet with owner~bartender..Most of our gigs are return gigs..Usually...
