Re: George Kollias

Kollias is the replacement for Nile's old drummer, I believe. And he simply does it better than the previous. I love the band as a whole. Super heavy, and amazing technicality. Kollias slays.

Re: Jason Bittner

He's pretty damn good. I like his style. He looks promising. I don't like Shadows Fall all that much, but I like his work in the band.

Re: Fastest Double Bass Player?

George Kollias, Tim Waterson, Joey Jordison, And the Rev. For single foot, I think JoJo Mayer is the fastest I've seen.

Re: Bare Feet, Socks or Shoes?

I play in Hightop Chucks. Very light with good grip, and they don't restrain your ankle movement, even though it sounds like they would.

Re: Jason Bittner

That's what this thread is about fam. I think Bittner is an amazing drummer. He's not the fastest, but the way he puts everything together is awsome. I don't know, I just think his drumming flows...

Re: What profesional drummer's setup do u admire most?

Travis Barkers set the most, because he makes it sound like he's got so much more. Mike Portnoys just because it's so damn beautiful. Some others I don't feel like listing.

Re: Travis Barker Sound

Pinstripes are what your looking for dude. They give a pretty fat tone. Hydrolics will definitley work for the punk rock thing, but be warned. THEY HAVE NO OVERTONES OR RESPONSE. For punk rock...

Re: Mike Portnoy

He sings in a lot of songs. More in their newer stuff than in their older stuff. For example, As I Am, The Test That Stumped Them All, and In the Name of God, to name a few.

Re: Mike Portnoy

Someone with similar technique as Mike is probably Neal Peart or the Rev from Avenged Sevenfold. Both bands play prog.

Re: The Reverand

One of my favorite bands. I think the drummer is the main attraction, but the guitarist does display some amazing talent. The singer isn't that bad, but sounds better when he screams. He can't scream...

Re: Jon Dolmayan

I love System, but there old stuff is better than their new stuff. Even though their new stuff is more complicated musically, their old stuff is more catchy. John's a great drummer, but nothing mind...

Re: Snare Drum tuning question.

I tune mine very tight also and I've never had one actually "split" while I was tuning it. Weird... Ya, get a better head like a remo or evans.

Re: THE GOOD SNARE THREAD

I am currently playing a p.o.s. Peavey snare, but I'm looking to replace it with a Yamaha Musashi, or a Joey Jordison Sig. The JJ Sig is so nice and has a great snap sound, with the bite of a...

Re: Travis Barker

I think Travis is a very good drummer, but he's not one of those drummers who plays ok in the band songs, then plays amazing in the solos. He really lets loose in the songs. I will admit though, its...

Re: tell me who is the best metal drummer!

I like Joe Sottile from Children of Bodom, but I also like JJ alot. He's amazing. I heard he jogs like, 3 miles a day or something. Is that true???
