Re: Most Under-rated Drummers

I think that Chris Vrenna is an extremely under-rated musician. His work with Nine Inch Nails is just incredible. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure he was still in NIN when they wrote The...

Re: What profesional drummer's setup do u admire most?

My favorites are Danny Carey's Paiste kit, Neil Peart's current setup, and Scott Travis's set with the 24x24 bass drums. And Bruford's kit with the SDX pads all over.

Re: Tuning my Kick Drum

If you want to stop ring completely with new heads you want an Evans EQ3 with one or even two EQ pads on the batter. For resonant head go with a head like an EQ3 that has a hole in it or for even...

Re: Best metal drummers?

I like the Reverends from Avenged Sevenfolds drumming a lot. Listen to Blinded in Chains. Also Brann Dailors intros to songs, and Joey Jordison. I think its Lamb of G-d that I heard a ringtone of...

Re: PROTECT YOUR EARS.

I bought some earplugs today fater reading this. I have silencers on my drums, but I didn't think cymbals do more damage than drums. I suck at putting them in though. My local shooting range sells...

Re: Mike Portnoy

Yeah I just started listening to Dream Theater. WOW. You have to give him credit for actually using that big of a drum set and sounding good. Lol anyone know how much that monster of a kit costs?

Re: THE BIG KITS VS SMALL KITS DEBATE

It dosn't really matter. A lot of good drummers play giant sets and a lot of good drummers play 4 piece sets. I personaly think that a 9 piece set would be awesome. 2 bass drums, 4 rack toms, 2 floor...

Re: John Bonham

He's definetley the best rock drummer ever. But in jazz and swing Buddy Rich was the master. Imagine Buddy Rich v. John Bonham in a drum battle. HAHA who do you think would have won?
