I read here and there that the Ash sound somewhere between Maple and Birch.

At 1320 the white ash hardness fall between maple 1450 and birch 1260. But for sound we can't forget the heads and...

Well i think you're right on by saying that we can't think of the moeller in term of fulcrum... just knowing and feel that it's surely there, and i feel it more with my middle :-P

As you said i think for a most part of the movement in moeller that the stick is somewhat glued to the back finger(or middle or index), it have to be a "lock point" to let the stick accumulate the...

i wish i was clear when i talk about sweetspot on the stick.

To find the sweetspot, just lightly (hold/pinch/ make a lever) the stick to make a pivot and be sure he can...

Totally agree with you larry, as i said in the earlier post is the pivot point can fluctuate i.e. moving the fulcrum around the stick( maybe some bad english from me ???)

You're right larryace, it's a pivot point. (someone correct us if they think it's another thing...)

Usually if i talk about fulcrum i also talk about the sweetspot on the stick where this pivot...

Both index and middle as fulcrum can be played in a relaxed manner, isn't?

It's a MUST to have and practice... similar to stick control but with accent on some strokes on varying rudiment pattern.

Your moeller stroke, upstroke and free stroke you'll be "challenged".

And never forget that if you have the videogame RockBand just go on practice mode for the drum(will be drumless), sit on your real drum and crank up the sound!!!
