Re: AK Snare Drums?

I believe Joyful Noise might be able to stake a claim to that title but clearly the AKs are incredible instruments.

Re: Just in case you forgot

Put me in the "love it" camp, even though I'm not usually a Ludwig guy. Saw one in person at Dale's a few days ago and loved the vibe it projected.

I can't speak for the other new homes for these tiger cub drums but I can tell you that there is one new owner who is ecstatic about the new addition to his family. The little tiger cub will have a...

Re: Tom angles!!!!

The use of insulation inside the toms is innovative. These shells are going to resonate like no other. Take notes Andy. This will revolutionize the industry. Can't wait to try them.

Re: comparing two new sets, Ludwig or DW?

...just for balance, Dale's is well connected to DW as well--one of their biggest dealers. Good luck with your decision.

Re: Real Band Dilemma....

Hope this works out for you. I'm in a similar situation with a lead singer/bass player who works rotating shifts (ER doc). He's really irreplaceable because you just don't find singers that good...

I'm going to price a.flight across the pond and the cost.of a London hotel room. Last time I visited I stayed at the Park Lane Hilton but that was on my employer's dime. If I make the trip, the...

Re: Contemplating a brass-for-brass snare trade

Congrats on the new snare. I'd call it a draw as both are very solid snares. Sounds like a win-win for both sides. Doesn't get better than that. Now, anyone want to trade their mint condition Tama...

Re: Ringo's Drumming: Harder Than It Looks

Ringo isn't/wasn't qualified to tune Abe's drum kit. Really, no disrespect intended but Abe is superior across the board. Abe is even a better singer. Let's just say that Ringo was a great fit for...

Re: Amazing (old) studio footage - Simon Phillips with The Coors :)

Mea culpa, I should have checked the video first as that was Toss the Feathers. I played the tune in a Celtic band and fell in love with the Corrs version.

Re: Amazing (old) studio footage - Simon Phillips with The Coors :)

I'm pretty sure they used studio drummers on a fairly regular basis. Check out Toss the Feathers. Awesome drumming.

Re: Irony?

Rest assured, when Andy and Dean build my signature snare, I'll be very much involved in the design process and will absolutely use the drum regularly. Andy, you're free to use my name and I won't...

Re: Terry Bozzio: The Evolution of His "Giant Sculpture"
