Re: Bass drum sizes

I prefer smaller kicks. I like the feel and sound of them. I own a 22x18, 22x16, 20x17.5, 20x16, 18x14, and 16x14. My favorite is the 18x14, following closely by the 16x14 and 20x16.

Re: 12x8 Toms

I love my 12x8. Up until getting it, my 12" toms were always 10" deep. I was never a huge fan of them, and usually preferred the 10x9s. Now I love the 12x8! If only I could find a matching 10x8 or...

Re: Hal Leonard Polyrhythms

That's just what the section is called, "Three Against One."

I'm just looking for somebody who owns Hal Leonard Polyrhythms so that they can confirm whether or not that the section I have is from...

Hal Leonard Polyrhythms

Anyone have it?

I've have "Section 1 Three Against One" just copied onto paper, and I'm trying to figure out what book it's from. I think it's copied from Hal Leonard Polyrhythms, but I was hoping...

Re: Your first time playing a show

First show was with the elementary school concert band... I don't remember it. Heh.

First show behind a kit was in 7th grade with the school jazz band. I forget what the actual event was, I think...

Re: Post your current and your dream kit with Kitbuilder

Yes, PLEASE! :D

Anyway, I still haven't decided what my "dream" kit would be. It seems to change every time I decide to play around with the kitbuilder. However, I'm currently just working on my...

Re: double bass question

It might just be an issue of you being more warmed up some days than on others.

Re: Gallop Double Bass Problem

Why would you lead with your left? That makes no sense. Think of it as 16th notes.

Re: Can Jazz drummers use double bass?

Of course they can. You can do what you want. ;)
Of course, if it doesn't fit...

I do a little double bass thing sometimes using triplets. Three on the bass, three on the hands. I think it...

Re: Things you hate to have happen while drumming

I hate not being situated right... like the song gets started and it's too late for me to adjust my seat that little inch or whatever, so I'm stuck like that till the song's over.

I never bothered with...

Re: Playing with shoes on...

I usually practice at home with socks (I don't wear shoes walking around my house) and with shoes anywhere else (band practice, gig, school, etc.).

Actually, I think I prefer wearing shoes, but...
