Re: Can we settle this pillow-as-practice-pad debate once and for all?

Now that the debate is officially over, I still can't refrain from tying up a few loose ends and correcting some misunderstandings. I want to start out by saying that I have the deepest respect for...

Re: Moeller Technique

John, couldn't agree more. In my opinion, nobody should be allowed to play Stick Control or Master Studies without having learned these techniques first. The time I wasted is CRIMINAL........

Re: Can we settle this pillow-as-practice-pad debate once and for all?

Endurance and Speed? I will restate: your pulling up motion, which is what you train using a pillow/bed/any non-rebound surface, can NEVER be as fast as the natural rebound. But few people practice...

Re: Can we settle this pillow-as-practice-pad debate once and for all?

Re: Moeller Technique

I learnt the basic Moeller srtoke, or a bastardized version of it years ago, and thought I had it down. Now, taking lessons With Dom, I find I knew nothing at all. In my opinion it is not that hard...

Re: Freddie Gruber - GURU

I watched the clip of Gruber's clinic, hoping to see him play even one stroke, but he just teases you. He talks as if he is talking to children, which, combined with the extremely vague explanations,...
