Re: How to inspire a new student in 45 minutes

Well that's when two of the forum's "radical answer" provocateurs come together ;).

First, I believe it's a difference whether you're teaching in a public school, where you have
classes and...

Re: Mike Bordin

Faith No More is one of my all-time favorite bands, and I love Mike's style and energy!
He's been a huge influence on me, understandably.

Re: Hahahahahahahaha :)

As to most of you, it sounds hilarious and ridiculous to me as well, but I also think
the guy isn't that bad, and he is quite bold :)!

Re: Anger, dismay and confusion

As some mentioned, I find it a bit odd that you call it "just practice" - doesn't practicing
actually really come down to trying to sound good in the end?

Then again, I think it's the small and...

Re: Drummers that can't tune drums.

Concerning tuning for the audience: First it depends whether or not the kit is running through the PA.
Second, in my experience most drummers tend to tune their drums too low, so that they

I'd say in this thread we're talking mostly about taste. As we all know, there's no arguing about taste.
I mean calling Roxette terrible and list them in the worst song thread makes me think! What...

Hi Gavin

There's a Swiss piano player named Nik Bärtsch who writes very interesting polyrhythmic

Any DW members in drumming dvds/videos?

There are a lot of Hudson (and other) dvds and videos out, and some of them feature
individuals of the audience in certain camera angles, or even in Q&A situations.

I wondered if some members of...

Yeah that's awesome!! Really looking forward to the DVD!!

What's interesting to notice to me is the actually very low number of supporters.
So I think all the people in those endorsement threads...
