Re: My new Gretsch drums

Gretsch has certainly done a better job with marketing over the past few years than ever before. The quality of drums is outstanding as well.

When Kaman was distributor, Gretsch had a shoestring...

Re: My new Gretsch drums

Any update on your drum order? I hope the radio silence doesn't mean there's a problem with the order or anything.

Re: Putting together a Peart-esque kit. Need help

I hear you on the ride placement. I had an 8 piece setup at one point and the only spot for my ride wasnít comfortable. Getting the ride comfortable always put it in the way of one drum or another....

Re: Unboxing Video - 15/16/28/26 Gretsch Broadkaster

I shared your video on the Gretsch owners Facebook. Someone asked how long these took to come in once the order was placed. Can you ask the Baron??

Re: Bizarre experience with Ludwig...

I was thinking the same thing. I've measured with one head not knowing that a drum can measure differently on the headed vs. non headed side due to just head tension.

Re: Unboxing Video - 15/16/28/26 Gretsch Broadkaster

I've visited a couple of times...it's a phenomenal shop and everyone there is great to work with.

These drums sound awesome...way more warm than I expected given their big sizes.

Re: Putting together a Peart-esque kit. Need help

Maybe the Neil Peart style setup will work great...

Re: Ludwig / Noble Cooley Solid-Ply Snare Drum Collaboration - Video

Geez...I don't think it looks bad. It's kind of nondescript looking, but not like a goldfish or a donkey.

Most importantly, it sounds fantastic. In fact, this may be one of my favorite wood...

Re: Gretsch Renown and Catalina Add-on Drums

Ditto that on Reverb. The in stock metric and the fact that Reverb will be the first to email you if they think they're not getting their due...even if you've don't nothing wrong.
